Last night I began a new in-house playtest campaign.

The PCs are all members of the very high status Cloak of Azure gems clan in the small city of Komoré, at the edge of the northwestern frontier of the Empire of Tsolyánu.

Ssuri (Talzhemir Mrr) is a scholar/sorcerer priestess of Ksárul, the God of Secrets. She also fights with knives and has an interest in demons and creatures of the underworld.

Bélar (Zach Adams) is a sorcerer who also serves as one of the librarians in his clanhouse. Nothing escapes his keep perception! He also had his magical training at the Temple of Ksárul.

Surundáno (Brian Adams), whose name happens to be the same as on the the Emperor's brothers, is a typical layabout young nobleman. His interests include music and swordplay. Surundáno frequents the Temple of Dlamélish, the Green-Eyed Lady of Pleasures.

Lumétl (Bruce Adams) is a mere boy of 14. He is always accompanied by a retired old Ksárul priest named Panjáng. Lumétl is quite a good archer, and Panjáng has also taught him the rudiments of sorcerous healing.

In episode 1, Bélar's researches in the Ksárul temple library uncovered ancient reports of a place not too many days away called the Circle of Columns - said to date from the lost empire of Éngsvan hla Gánga, and possibly connected with the outlawed cult of the One Other. And so, like any other group of bored aristocrats, they immediately set out to discover how much trouble they could get themselves into...
