Hi there Jeff,

I have just downloaded the gazetteer part 1 and was literally flicking through it on my tablet when I spotted something odd. On page 47 about the city of Hauma it says it is 'Significantly larger than Katalál'. Really? On the old EPT maps it isn't named and is marked with the small symbol seeming reserved for small unnamed locations - I struggling to find a key for that map. No such problem with the S&G map as the key is in the Sourebook. Katalal has the symbol for Small City, pop 100,000 to 200,000 while Hauma has the symbol for Small Town pop 5,000 to 10,000. What is going on here? Have I missed something?

The Man of Gold isn't much help on this, though it does describe Katalal as a City, see the start of chapter seven. Then a few pages on it calls Hauma a town, page 58 of the original Daw edition.

Hey Niall;
We've revisited our research, and while in Talzhemir's defense one can find references to Hauma as a 'village', 'town', or 'city' depending on where one looks, it does appear on further review that the official sources lean toward it being smaller than Katalal rather than larger. Mea culpa! We've made the correction, and uploaded a new version of the document. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey, no worries you are both doing a great job. A few years ago in a burst of serious over enthusiasm I went through the Sourcebook, and the Army Lists, and the first 2 novels (ok it was a long time ago) and any other cannon sources I could find and did a page per location on what I found. Then marched the party north from Jakalla to Khirgar via Bey Su, and back down the west via all the interesting cities. Hauma annoyed me because there wasn't anything much on it said so it stuck in my mind. I'll see what I can do to point you at anything useful I have.

I have to confess that the really interesting stuff turned up in Salarvyyá
