Welcome to all the new forum subscribers! Please introduce yourselves on this thread. Who are you, where do you hail from, what's your background with Tekumel-based games, stuff like that 🙂

I'm John. New subscriber. I had a heck of a time getting here, though. I tried four different userids with four different email addresses before I FINALLY got a response and a login password. It is unfortunate that there is no easy way to contact Jeff about such matters. It would truly help supporters/backers if it had been made clear we have to use a specific email address to get an account. I hope the rest of this project/process runs more smoothly. We also need a way to contact Jeff (or site admin) outside of the Bethorm site for help with problems like I had. Bad communications do not build confidence or trust.

I started RPGs back in the early days with the White Box D&D. Played a bit on a friends Empires of the Petal Throne campaign and loved Tekumel. Life took me away from RPGs in the mid 80s. I finally returned last year and have been making up for lost time. I now own copies of the original EPT, Gardasyal and T:EPT as well as most of Dr. Barker's Tekumel writings (e.g., Mitlyanal, Book of Ebon bindings (and other Tekumel goodness from the good folks at Tita's House of Games), the files available at DriveThruRPG, etc.). I also have all five of Dr. Barker's novels, one with his autograph.

I look forward to this new incarnation. That said, I will probably be playing in Tekumel using the RuneQuest 6 rules, since that is my favorite rules set. I think Tekumel is an excellent fit for them. Of course, final judgement will be made when I have the Bethorm rules in my hands and can fully evaluate them. Use them or not, I am happy to support their development and the wonderful supplemental work associated with them. Got to keep Tekumel alive!

Hi Luther 🙂

I've taken your advice, and added some contact information to the About page. Sorry for your inconvenience.

No worries. It was initially frustrating, but we're all good now!
Thanks!

Hello,

I had the same problem as Luther. I finally made it too. I only discovered Tekumel a year ago. I don't know how I went so long without taking notice. I first started playing D&D with my friends in the mid 80's. I actually haven't played since. However, I've never stopped loving RPGs. I've been collecting and reading the stuff ever since. Now I have Tekumel!!!
Thanks,
