Hello,
Do clans have there own internal 'police' force?
By that I mean, a unit to investigate internally.
I am not sure what sort of laws, if they did exist, that would cover.
I imagine, it would be individual by clan as to would they consider proper conduct.
I would have thought with some of the bigger/richer clans, this would be a good force to maintain, especially if they can keep any negative Honor, getting out into the wider community.

The clan police
They live inside of my home
The clan police
They come to me in my bed
The clan police
They're coming to arrest me
Oh no

I've never heard of any official 'clan police force', but certainly every clan would occasionally have to deal with internal matters, and the elders would need to come up with some way of conducting internal investigations, and punishing transgressors. I imagine this could take many different forms from clan to clan, but generally based upon traditions passed down from their ancient ancestors.

The clan elder(s) of each clanhouse are expected to keep order. Clans and houses vary as to whether they have a single leader, or a council, or something in between. Most clans will have some kind of "muscle" to protect their holdings, especially the trading and shipping clans who travel through unsafe areas. These could vary from just a group of belligerent laborers to para-military companies of veterans and cadets, to crews of idle duelists, depending on clan status, work, and traditions. I've never heard of any official clan police though. I like the idea of the larger and more prosperous clans maybe having a few trusted "troubleshooters" or "risk management specialists" that clan elders might be able to call in when something complicated and ugly comes up.

Thanks
Yes we ran the game with the players family being just that, but on a monetary front.
So they come in and audit, check the books etc and attempt to clean up a poorly running clan branch.
