I stumbled on this illustration by the talented Arthur Haas and immediately thought of Tékumel's native jungles.

Not quite what I imagined either. But I like its alien quality, and such details as the sorts of spores you see here and there.

Perhaps could such a place be found in some remote valley, or even in some vast cave. And I totally can envision bits of it swaying back and forth, ever so slightly, as if caught in some imperceptible wind.

I kind of alike it even if I'll have to agree that it isn't really close to my definition of what the native jungle would be like.
