The note under Bolas (p53) says:

*Bolas entangle the victim, who can then try to break free (PHYS check at -2, -3, or -4 for small, medium, and large bolas) or wriggle free (Grapple skill check at -1 per point by which the roll to hit was made).

However, what is the effect of being Entangled exactly? The only other reference I can find is under Hokun as an ability.

Does it mean:

* Entangled target can't move until it escapes, but can still defend etc. Does it become prone?
* Entangled target can't do anything except try to escape.
* Something else?

What about larger creatures? They will be easier to hit, but less likely to be entangled I would suspect. Maybe they only work on creatures up to one size group different from your own?

I ask as I have a player with a PC who is a herder, and has taken Advantage Pet (2) to have a kuni-bird (which we thought would be interesting to use for herding hma or hmelu as well as spotting predators), and bolas to bring down the beasts.
