Post Bethorm: Plane of Tekumel RPG Progress Reports

Hi, and welcome to the first post of this new thread where I'll keep everyone updated on the progress of completing Bethorm.

Last night Bethorm ended its funding period in glorious victory. Final score: 362 backers pledged 222% of Bethorm's initial funding goal, unlocking a 1 mega-hex preview of our upcoming Kurt Hills Map Set & Gazetteer (featuring the area around the city of Katalal), 2 adventures, a color cover painting by Denis Loubet, 24 additional illustrations of official creatures and races not mentioned in the original Empire of the Petal Throne RPG, and a full-page b&w map of the city of Katalal by Alyssa Faden. Plus, I'll be adding a special, exclusive 'Limited Edition' glyph to each PDF, softcover, and hardcover copy of the game that's sent out to the project backers.

Whew! But it's not over yet, especially not for me. I've now got a lot of work to do.

My first order of business is converting my current document to the fonts, paragraph, and table styles that will appear in the final version. I also need to track down my copy of an extremely handy Tsolyani spell-checking file for Word. I had it on my old laptop, and used it extensively during early Bethorm development. I need to get it on my current machine and install it in Word 2013.

Once I've massaged the document into shape, the real work of finalizing everything will begin.

If you could attach your Tekumel spelling file, that would be awesome.

I found the file (tekumel.dic), and jumped through a few hoops to get it installed on my copy of Word 2013. Yay! Next, I'll resume work on the font styles.

I can't remember where I got the Tsolyani spell check file, Tolekh, but it was somewhere on the web. Not remembering where I got it, I'm unsure whether I have permission to share it...

PS: Thanks Qumal and Simone!

Jeff, you're not using InDesign or Quark to assemble the book?

PROGRESS REPORT:

I finished the font/paragraph/table styles pass last night. Next: I've been running our in-house playtests using a printout of the manuscript, and now that printout is full of hand-written notes. Today's task is to input all of those notes.
