Yesterday I finished typing in the edits to the spells of the temples of the Gods, and I got halfway through the spells of the temples of the Cohorts. I also made a good start on the new Chima drawing. I expect to finish both by this evening. Still on schedule!

All of the spell edits are typed in, and I've begun inking the Chima drawing.

Today's big task: print out a new hardcopy of the document for out in-house editor to read & mark. While that's happening, I think I'll focus on artwork for a while.

Today I already edited the Contacts section, explaining the Tsolyani clan & family structure (so players can take members of their own family or clan as Contacts).

Next, I'm drawing the Chnau - using a cool sketch by Prof, Barker (provided by the Tekumel Foundation - thanks folks!) for visual reference.

I spent yesterday putting together a packet of reference material for Alyssa Faden, who'll be doing the map of the city of Katalal for the rulebook. I included a rough sketch of the basic layout. You can see that sketch here: http://bethorm.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Katalal-Rough-Layout.pdf

Today I'm back on the spells section, cleaning up a few final issues.

The spell section cleanup is finished. Today, I'm adding some clarification to the 'size' rules, to help the area effects from Prof. Barker's spell descriptions play nice with the Pocket Universe system.

Also, last night I started work on the Dlikken drawing. I expect to finish that this evening.

Well. Making the Swords & Glory/Gardasiyal area effect spells 'play nice with Pocket Universe' turned out to be most easily solved by tweaking the magic system so that attack spells now work just like combat. They already do in other Pocket Universe-based RPGs, but they hadn't so far in Bethorm because the magic was a direct adaptation of Prof. Barker's own system. These tweaks don't really change the *results* of combat magic,it's just that now they get there the same way that combat does. This simplifies the game overall, and oh yeah, addresses the area effects discrepancy that I set out to fix 🙂

This more comprehensive adjustment took a bit longer than originally planned, so the Dlikken drawing still isn't done. That's today's goal.
