I'm back from NTRPGCon, and almost fully recovered. Talz and I each ran Bethorm sessions, which went great. There's lots of interest in this game!

Today I'm polishing the rules for poisons, and inking the Ngrutha drawing.

The new Ngrutha drawing is now on DeviantArt: http://fav.me/d7lx5ae

Next up is the Pe Choi!

I'm still working on the poisons. Prof. Barker didn't specify how quickly many of them killed, at least not in S&G or Gardasiyal, so I think I'll have to search the Blue Room archive for more details.

Update:

A search on the Blue Room archive site yielded absolutely nothing helpful on the 'kill times' of the various poisons. I'll make one last check in the Gardasiyal player's book (maybe poisons were covered in the combat section?), and if that fails, I may have to 'wing' it.

What about the Excellent Ruby Eye variant in the Death of Kings. Basically it works as the normal one but it has a duration, which was unspecified if I remember correctly.

Here are some more items that might be worthy of recording. I will give page numbers from the tomes that the references were taken. This is not a complete list of items. I may have missed cool things(I was quite tired while compiling the forth coming at times). Enjoy.

First from Tga'a Nmemsu, The Man of Gold(TMOG), pg71 The Book of Changing Into Dust contains records of necropolises from the time of the Bednalljan Dynasty from the reign of Queen Nayari up through the Age of Decline...lists tomb contents of various notable persons[possible plot hooks/bonuses finding/indentifying treasures/magic items, etc.]

pg109 Globe of Instruction Sphere, an object of storing information of the ancients. Usually found in two halves. When the halves are correctly placed together give the user only, the information contained therein. Mind-bar spells(or other more nasty spells)may have been added to the globe that will/may effect the user in desired ways.

pg114 Amulet of Ruling over Nshe. This seems different than the Amulet of Warding Nshe. This amulet gives the user control over Nshe. It is described as a golden disk.

P127 The Weapon Without Answer, I mention it here, but it is a major artifact of great power.

pg272 The Little Ball of Radiance, possibly an alternate name for The Eye of Illuminating Glory. A little ball that lights the way while delving into darkness...

pg284 Lightning Bringers that deliver bolts of energy further than any sorcerer can toss his spells...

pg280 (The Mihalli's)Globe of Power that enabled them to come together...pg346 Ball of Immediate Eventuation described as a translucent sapphire sphere(may be the same thing...?).

pg 324 a Picture-box, an object that records whatever the original user desired with moving pictures and sound(giving the current user information/a glimpse into the past). Picture-boxes are described as being harmless...

pg361 A Clockwork Simulacrum constructed by the wizard Thomar himself(I'm sure you could come up with some interesting clockwork artifacts...maybe a random table of items)...

These were some of the items that I came across. I'm sure there are more goodies I missed. I hope that some of these things can be of use to you. I will post more from other sources in the future. Unless someone else beats me to it...

Thanks, Chris!

The new Pe Choi drawing is now on DeviantArt: http://fav.me/d7m2see

Next up is the Nyagga!

Poisons are turning out to be a real challenge, but I'm making progress. After that, I've just got to add the 'odds & ends' items to the treasure tables, and do a final poass on the skill lists, and then I *think* I'll be ready for the final chapter organization & pag layouts. And we're more than halfway through the remaining artwork. Otulengba!

From The Book of Ebon Bindings...

p.v - a complete copy of TBOEB in ancient Llyani with no missing leaves...may be helpful to sorcerers in summoning, controlling, and dispelling demons(maybe giving users of the book bonuses and/or chances of being possessed,etc.).

p. vi - a volume of TBOEB in Salarvyani like the one housed in Tsatsayagga(that could have similar consequences as the latter; I'm thinking cool random tables/saving throws...).

p26- Ku'nur sacrificial knife of the Temple of Lord Sarku...

p44 The Tetkume, another sacrificial knife, this one used by adherents of the Temple of Vimuhla...

p52 The Ta'on, a ritual instrument used in certain rituals by the priests of Lord Sarku...

p21 Here are three items that caught my eye:
The Crown of Mssila, The Mirror-Bright Shield of Repelling the demon Ktelu, and above all, The Pallid Effluvium of Bu-Tlatme...these are rare and difficult to come by.

p31 Last but not least, The Golden Key of Vayunamu, which is said to open locks and bars between the worlds...

Just a few things that I saw. I haven't read TBOEB from cover to cover yet. So there could be more notable items therein. I'm still going through Flamesong. So I will post my findings at another time.

Take Care,

Cool, thanks Chris!

Next up is the Nráishu!

I'm almost done with the poison section. First I had to get a grip on what poisons are available (not an easy task! much research!0, and then construct a reasonably streamlined system to handle them. Those steps are completed. Now I just need to finalize the 'stats' on the available poisons, including the ones from the creatures. One more day, I think.

I got sidetracked on some non-Bethorm tasks over the weekend, but I'm back on track now. Finishing the Nraishu art is on today's task list.
